Our approach
We do not believe in making jewellery simply for the sake of more. Each Rhapsody in Gold piece is designed to carry meaning—a name, a character, a quality, a memory, or a connection—and to become part of the life of the person who wears it. When a piece has personal meaning, it is more likely to be worn, cared for, and kept. That is the kind of longevity we want to create.
Our Materials
We use 18k solid gold for jewellery designed to be worn and lived in. It offers lasting beauty, substance, and value, rather than being a short-term surface treatment that is designed to be replaced.Where specified by our supplier records, our gold is recycled. Using recycled gold allows existing precious metal to be refined and given new life, while preserving the qualities that make gold such a lasting material.Every material has an impact, so we aim to make considered choices and communicate them honestly.
Made with intention
Many of our pieces are made to order, while bespoke designs are created specifically for each customer. Producing in response to real orders helps us avoid holding unnecessary quantities and allows more care to go into each piece. Our bespoke process also begins with conversation and drawings. Before production starts, you have the opportunity to review and refine your design—helping us make a piece that is right for you from the beginning.
Our Process
Our pieces are designed in Hong Kong and made with skilled jewellery partners and artisans. From the shape of a Chinese character to the final polish, each detail is considered for both meaning and wearability. We believe good craftsmanship is part of responsible design. A well-made piece is more likely to be repaired, treasured, worn regularly, and passed on rather than replaced.
Our Packaging
We keep our packaging thoughtful and purposeful: designed to protect your jewellery during delivery while creating a beautiful experience when it arrives. We aim to avoid unnecessary excess and encourage you to keep, reuse, or repurpose the elements that come with your piece wherever possible.
Those who are self-gifting, we provide an option during checkout where a jewellery pouch can be selected instead. This option is great for reducing waste if a box is not needed and saving space in your safe. It’s also a great option for storing your jewellery when travelling!

We are still learning and refining the way we design, source, make, package, and care for our pieces.
